Becky Kennedy

My love for animals began long before I can remember. When I was four years old, our family cat, Biscuit, chose my bed as the perfect place to have her kittens, and I’ve been captivated by animals ever since. As a child, I spent countless hours reading beneath our crabapple trees, convinced the neighborhood chipmunks were listening to every story I read.

Today, my home is happily ruled by five cats and three dogs, and I’m always entertaining the idea of adding a miniature donkey to the family. Life is simply better when it’s shared with animals.

Professionally, I serve as the Director of Clinical Research Operations, where I lead teams, solve complex problems, and manage research programs. Earlier in my career, I served as the executive director of a nonprofit organization, where I discovered a passion for grant writing and fundraising. Those experiences have given me the opportunity to support ELRECS by helping secure the resources needed to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for animals in need.

Being part of ELRECS allows me to combine my professional experience with a lifelong love of animals. There is nothing more rewarding than helping give animals the second chances they deserve.
